About this listing
Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1953 Fender Precision Bass in its original Blonde finish. It has a great playing neck with great frets. It's all original with the exception of the bridge cover and some of the screws (2 have been added to the pickguard). The original gig bag is included, but only one end of the zipper is functioning. The cloth wrapping around the pickup coil is encased in some type of waxy black substance, but is the original pickup. Most of the finished surface on the back of the neck heel has been sanded down to the wood. Possibly to provide a slightly more shallow neck angle. The neck pocket of the body has a small area where the finish was removed and the name "EDDIE" was written. The neck dates on both the neck and body are original to its factory production, but the name "EDDIE" was written later. There are nicks + dings, finish checking and other cosmetic wear along with a few addition screw holes. The edge of one bridge saddle cracked and has one newer screw. The center of each bridge saddle has bowed from the pressure of the strings, but is typical and the saddles still work well. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. All electronics work and sound great as it provides an authentic early '50s P-Bass tone.We are happy to ship internationally.
