Overview

The Fender Musicmaster electric guitar, stripped of any frills, played an important role in Fender's history: it was one of the first student models Fender ever produced. At a smaller 22.5" scale length, the Musicmaster had one single pickup and two knobs. Though it was one of the lower-end, more inexpensive models, it served its purpose well and remains relatively inexpensive today.

For the price you simply can't beat it. Mine has the 24 inch neck scale making it perfect for me to play stuff from my band tuned down to drop c with a set of 11's. Given I added a bridge single coil from a 1970's strat to the guitar along with a 3 way pickup selector. The neck profile is nice and thin and it's pretty easy to "shred" on.
