About this listing
About my Fabulous Chimey Fender LIMITED Japan Stratocaster XII in Lake Placid Blue Super-Duper! Minty!Blue! I got a blue one before they were gone! They don’t even have the page up any more on Fender.com. This guitar is a fabulous easy-to-play Fender 12-String Strat! I generally play one of my Rickenbackers or my Gibson ES-335 electric 12 String… This guitar opened up the sonic pallet of my recordings quite a bit!I love everything about this beautiful guitar. I just need to let go of it to help get some money together for my retirement these days.Note: There is no warranty on this guitar from the original manufacturer. I will, however, place a personal 2-year Jim Pearson Guitars Warranty for electronics failures to post-sale-UNMODIFIED instruments I sell.I don’t have to sell this guitar. Low-ball offers are ignored and are (frankly) unkind. This is a superb instrument. Not giving it away.Looking for one which is in excellent condition and has only been briefly adult-, studio-played? This is a great choice! An advantage with buying an instrument or gear from me: You can purchase a used instrument which has been well-cared-for when you purchase from me.Guitar SpecificationsAccessoriesCase/Gig Bag?Originally included a thin gig bag. I have now included a Genuine Fender Blue Classic Stratocaster case.BodyBody AlderBody Finish Gloss PolyesterBody Material AlderBody Shape Stratocaster®ElectronicsBridge Pickup Vintage-Style Single-Coil Strat®Controls Master Volume, Tone 1. I am truly sorry. I have lost way too much money trying to do so.Please note: I try to set shipping prices appropriately and fairly: given these factors: Any instrument sold with a case will be much heavier than just the weight of the instrument itself. Harrdshell cases are almost always much heavier than the instrument.· I use great boxes and lots of packing materials. This adds a lot to the shipping weight.· Also, using a great box means larger dimensions. The shippers can really up the price for a box the right size for an instrument.· I like to use UPS for my instrument shipping. Of all the shippers I’ve used in the past 25 years, UPS has done the best and has damaged the fewest of my shipments.· I truly can’t ship for free. Even shipping a single humbucker insured across the country costs almost $10 (as an example).· As my buyers come from all over the US, I set my prices as the approximate average from someone near me and someone on the west coast. I also look at the going rate charged by other sellers: this helps me see if the price I’m asking is similar to those sellers who are private sellers.ReturnsNo returns: As-is:As I am not an actual commercial factory-authorized instrument dealer, I truly can’t afford to sell instruments on an approval basis or offer free returns. I try to describe carefully and truthfully, price accordingly, and I really make a big effort to ship your new gear to you quickly and safely. As such, my instruments are being sold as-is and without returns. The only cases where returns are allowed are when I grossly mis-describe the instrument. I ship insured and ship with Reverb protection on every instrument (even on parts and small things)! If there is a shipping issue, Reverb is awesome about helping you work out any issues which might occur.Jim Pearson Guitars’ Story!I enjoy recording for private contracts, and I enjoy releasing my own compositions worldwide through almost all streaming and CD sales services.Over the past 22 years, I have released 8 experimental albums and 10 commercial Impressionistic Instrumental albums. The musical expressions and impressions I have recorded have led me to try and experiment with more than 100 different instruments. The retail instrument purchases I have made over the years has led me to build up a “library” of guitars, basses, keyboards, and many others. The instrument in this listing was purchased by me through retail channels, including local, state, and federal taxes. I am offering this instrument because I am heading into retirement: I need to slim down to just a small subset of instruments. What’s the advantage for you? I take incredibly good care of my instruments. I take the time to set the instruments up to my needs and specifications. I keep them clean, in a humidity- and temperature-controlled environment.Important notes!I liked it enough to buy it - All of us have different interpretations of “Mint” or “Excellent” or other conditions. I try to generally understate the condition, as I don’t like surprise issues any more than you do.These might not be the droids you are looking for - “Mint” is generally, “great condition with small signs of use.” To me, Mint does not mean “superbly flawlessly correct and museum quality” just as an example. I want us to both be happy. Ask questions: I do answer questions within the day, in general.Remember: people make these instruments… they will have small flaws or imperfections – and that’s why I like human-made instruments! Swirls are almost always present in even expensive brand-new instruments… Typically, I use only very special cloths to maintain my instruments: I only use maintenance oils and finish conditioners which are kind to the instrument.
