Fender's Custom Shop takes the magic of a 1956 Stratocaster and brings it to life with this Journeyman Relic in a beautiful Wide Fade 2-Color Sunburst. It has the look and feel of a Strat that has been played and loved for decades, while the Custom Shop craftsmanship makes it something truly special.
By the mid-fifties the Stratocaster had found its classic voice, and the 1956 spec is a firm favourite among players, with a comfortable soft V maple neck and that unmistakable spank and chime. The Journeyman Relic treatment gives this one a worn-in finish with heavy checking, so it feels familiar in your hands from the very first chord.
At its heart are three hand-wound '55 Stratocaster single-coils that deliver the classic, articulate Strat voice with plenty of bell-like sparkle and bite. The two-piece ash body keeps it lively and resonant, and the whole guitar simply begs to be played.
This 2024 Custom Shop Stratocaster is in excellent condition. Aside from its aged finish, it has picked up only minimal playwear and still looks clean. It is supplied in its Fender Custom Shop tweed case with a certificate of authenticity, the shop floor traveler and a TFOA Passport, along with an extra 1-ply white pickguard.
