About this listing
Rare early-'80s Fender Champ II, made in Fullerton, California during the Rivera era.The Champ II was produced for a very short period and is an unusual Fender design, delivering 18 watts from a pair of 6V6 power tubes in a compact combo. Controls are Volume, Treble, Bass and Master, with a pull mid-boost on the Treble control. This amp has been fitted with a 12" Eminence Patriot Red White & Blues speaker in place of the original 10". The larger American-voiced speaker gives the amp a big, full sound while retaining the compact dimensions and straightforward tube circuit that make the Champ II such a cool little Fender.Cosmetically, the amp is in very nice condition for its age. Tolex, grille cloth, faceplate, knobs and hardware all present very well. Please see the photos for condition.Details:Fender Champ IIEarly 1980s / Rivera-era FenderMade in Fullerton, California18 wattsDual 6V6 power sectionMaster volumeTreble and Bass controlsPull mid-boost8-ohm speaker output12" Eminence Patriot Red White & Blues speakerOriginal Fender cabinet, grille and hardwareThe Champ II is considerably less common than the standard Fender Champ models and packs a surprising amount of clean Fender punch and volume into a small combo. The 12" speaker is a non-original modification and is clearly shown in the photos.$1,199 + shipping.
