Overview
After spending a brief amount of time as the Eddie Van Halen signature model, the Axis remained mostly unchanged, save for the new name, when Eddie and the company parted ways in the early '90s. Music Man currently produces both an Axis model, with dual humbuckers, a single volume knob, and Floyd Rose tremolo, and an Axis Super Sport model, sporting additional bridge options, pickup and control configurations, and wood choices.
Wood Composition: Basswood body, Maple neck
Design Elements: Bolt-on neck, dual humbucker pickups, single volume knob, Floyd Rose tremolo
