The Electrodyne 501 is a 500 Series mic preamp based on vintage Electrodyne designs, with simple 2-stage discrete transistor, transformer-coupled I/O, and an active DI on the front panel which makes use of the mic input transformer. The 501 provides up to +68dB of gain, rotary output fader with an additional +6dB over unity gain, and switchable impedance.
