This very rare preamp was a demo unit bought directly from Hazelrigg Industries and completely refurbished by them in February 2025. It has new lids, new tubes, and a 7-year manufacturer's warranty until February 2032. They do not make these units anymore and are only available as a dual preamp.The VT-1 is the single-channel version of the D.W. Fearn VT-2 Vacuum Tube Microphone Preamplifier. In designing the VT-1 preamp, no compromise in sonic quality, reliability, or ruggedness was permitted. Like the best tube equipment of the 1950s and ’60s, the VT-1 preamp is built on a heavy-gauge aluminum chassis, utilizing point-to-point wiring. Each vacuum tube is selected for minimum noise and microphonics, and maximum sonic clarity.
