The non-reverb Fender Deluxe is an amp that was forever underappreciated, but the secret is out. I remember getting these amps back in the 90s, and most people would pass because there was no reverb. Well, the thing is - these amps sound just a little better than the Deluxe Reverb when it comes to pure guitar tone. The Deluxe produces a tight, harmonically complex breakup at manageable volume levels. The cabinet and baffle, Oxford 12" speaker, and Schumacher iron are all original and in excellent condition. The black tolex shows no issues, the grille is clean and intact, and the chassis is in excellent shape with no repairs or modifications noted.I replaced all the electrolytic capacitors - they needed updating, and I reinstalled them in the original capacitor sleeves. I replaced the cable with a grounded one - the original is included. I cleaned all the pots, tube sockets, and jacks, and tested all the tubes - and I think all the tubes are original to the amp. The amp runs perfectly. The preamp tube complement includes a Sylvania 12AT7; the two 12AX7s are RCA. The power tubes are RCA 6V6. The rectifier is an Amperex GZ34.
