About this listing

AKG D20. I am second owner and the mic is in very good conditions (see photos). It was just cleaned internally and restored to its original glory by Lust for Mics in Bologna. It was just checked after the restoration and put on sale here. So no additional work hours after service.Comes with the original box (a big added value - look for the one on sale right now on Reverb), short adapter cable to XLR so you can use it straight away + the original stand accessory (just for the sake of it...).Feel free to ask for further info in private.

Overview

The AKG D20 is a cardioid dynamic microphone which shares an element / cartridge with the more widely known D12. Compared to the D12, the D20 has a flatter bass response with variable roll-off and an output transformer. As is the case with the D12, this microphone was used heavily in recording bass drum and other instruments with The Beatles at Abbey Road.
