Video: Dunlop Cry Baby Mini 535Q Demo

Back in January, Joe had a chance to stop by Dunlop's NAMM booth in Anaheim to see what the effects giant has in store for 2018. We got a quick look at the lineup, which includes mini versions of classic Way Huge pedals like the Russian Pickle, Blue Hippo Analog Chorus, and Aqua-Puss Analog Delay, as well as a new mini wah called the Cry Baby Mini 535Q.

Enticed by our peek at NAMM, we had a chance to get our hands on a Cry Baby Mini of our own to really dig in and see what it can do. And in the video above, Andy demonstrates why you should never judge a pedal by the size of its chassis.

Coming in at half the size of a standard large-format wah, the Cry Baby Mini doesn't sacrifice anything major internally. It still sports the legendary Red Fasel inductor, that lets players retain ultimate control of their wah sound. Extra settings and parameters for more tone-shaping possibilities line the side of the mini enclosure, just out of the way enough without crossing over into inaccessible territory.
