About this listing
For sale is a sweet 1951 Martin 0-18. This is a very clean, crack-free, 75-year-old guitar. It is all original except for a replaced Bone Nut and Saddle, and Strap Button added. It obviously had an under the saddle piezo pickup at some point but has since been removed but the end pin jack is still present. Though there are a few minor places, it is not marked up with many scuffs or scars. It has apparently spent most of its life being played by a lady as I understand. There are some very light marks on the top that are difficult to see or photo unless you get right up on it. I have taken close up pictures for you. The action is an OK medium with the saddle being lowered and may last a long time like that (it is perfect for me), but it is a candidate for a neck re-set. There is no evidence of any repairs ever being done on this guitar except changing out the nut and saddle. The sound of these early 50’s 0-18’s is amazingly big. Very warm and woody tone with excellent clarity and clean note separation. Comes with a proper size Martin Thermoplastic case in very good condition. This is a very clean and original guitar that sounds great. I have priced it to allow for a neck re-set if you so choose. $6,900.00 + Shipping.Thank you. Frank
