About this listing
Selling here my JCM 800 2210 from 1989 (X-serial number). It is a 100Watt head that features a normal channel with bass, treble, and volume controls, and a boost channel over a 3-band EQ with an additional gain control. A global section controls presence, reverb, and master volume. Only 1 piece available! The clean channel gives a great edge of breakup and the gain channel sounds wonderful for classic rock and blues tones. The amp is rare to find in all original and unmodified condition, typical Marshall 80s Rocksound with wide choice of sounds. Great tube-amp if more gain is needed, 2 channels, Reverb, FX-loop, DI-out.The 2210 is a more modern sounding out of the JCM800 line-up - and with that it can cover a lot of styles by the use of low- and high-gain channels. The head takes pedals really well, especially Boss SD1 (Jason Becker) or ProCo RAT (like a lot of players from the 80s did). The 2210/2205 put clipping diodes in the circuit for additional gain. With that it offers a smooth overdrive channel with more gain or saturation and with a different mid voicing. The best way I can explain it is that set up correctly the 2210 falls somewhere between a 2203 and a Jubilee. 2210 is Marshall's first proper channel-switcher intended for working rock guitarists. The boost channel was designed as a lead boost channel with extra mids and sustain. The normal channel was voiced warmer to lay back in the mix for rhythms. It is also a darker more compressed amp than the 2203 so it works well with single coils. Sounding a bit more modern but still has the 800 magic. This heads overdrive channel sounds range from the semi-clean to crunch reminiscent of the JMP master volume to medium high gain. If you are looking for a dynamic and lively rock head this is it!Slash, Paul McCartney, Tony Iommi, Chuck Schuldiner, Richie Kotzen, Michael Schenker, Jason Becker, Michael Romeo, John Norum are only a few of the users of 2210 series. The amp has some light scratching of some potenciometers but nothing to worry about. Use it as it was meant to be used and you'll be more than happy. The amp has been occasionally played but is visually in great condition. The amp has been visually inspected and played, so I can only confirm its condition based on this review. I have not disassembled the amp, and the condition description refers solely to what was observed and tested externally.Shipping with courier and tracking (altogether at 50 Euro). Shipping possible only within EU-mainland. You can ask anything about the condition of the amp before actually buying it.I do not negotiate about the price, sorry. Thanks for checking out my add! I appreciate the interest, as always
