Zildjian Istanbul Ride, weighing a very attractive 2333 grams. One of the many perks of being a top call touring drummer is that you get to scour music shops all over the world for the coolest vintage gear. Mark found this beautiful vintage K Zildjian in a small music shop in Finland. This is a genuine Turkish-made “Old K” Zildjian, manufactured at the historic Istanbul factory before Turkish K production ended in the late 1970s. The cymbal bears the later New Stamp, dating it approximately 1967–1977.At 2733g, this example is on the lighter side for a 22" ride with a broad, complex response, good stick definition, a darker wash and enough flexibility to open up when crashed. Excellent vintage condition, normal patina. No cracks, dents or keyholing.
