Thanks to its compact Villager design, it sits comfortably against the body and offers an effortless playing experience without compromising on volume. The integrated Fishman system also makes the guitar a versatile companion for the stage, studio and rehearsal room.Balanced acoustic soundTo achieve its distinctive sound, Fender utilises a solid Sitka spruce top combined with a mahogany body made from laminated woods. This tried-and-tested combination produces a clearly defined tone with brilliant trebles, balanced mids and a pleasant warmth throughout the overall sound. The Scalloped X Bracing supports the free vibration of the top and contributes to a lively response and powerful projection. The additional octave strings, in particular, provide the characteristic richness and shimmering abundance of overtones typical of a 12-string guitar.Comfortable playabilityDespite its twelve strings, the Villager E offers a surprisingly comfortable playing experience. The compact body fits comfortably against the player and is also suitable for musicians who prefer a more manageable acoustic guitar. The shortened scale length of 629 mm noticeably reduces string tension and makes it easier to fret chords. This is complemented by the mahogany neck with a slim Slim-C profile, which promotes a relaxed hand position.Fishman electronics for flexible applicationsFor amplified performance, the guitar is fitted with a Fishman pickup system. This delivers a natural signal and reliably transmits the characteristic twelve-string sound to amplifiers or PA systems. The built-in preamp allows you to adjust the volume as well as the bass and treble levels directly on the instrument. A built-in tuner also makes it easier to tune the twelve strings precisely and ensures you’re ready to play quickly in the rehearsal room or on stage.Stylish California-inspired lookVisually, too, the Fender California Deluxe Villager E Honey Sunburst makes a striking impression. The multi-stage Honey Sunburst finish lends the top a warm radiance and effectively highlights the classic design. The combination of a tortoise pickguard and colour-coordinated binding adds traditional elements to the design, whilst the distinctive Fender headstock lends the instrument a character all of its own.
