Upgraded Fantastic sounding Fender American performer 4 string bass, in the best colour Lake Placid Blue Satin, born in 2022Fully working and in lovely not used very much condition, quite simply the nicest playing , best sounding bass i have ever owned, it has a new Fender Hi mass bridge, new black pearloid pick guard, and brand new Daddario BT XL 220 stings all fitted by my local luthier. As you may already know the pickups for this bass are Fender Yosemite P/J that are dipped in shellac and are the sweetest sounding i have heard on any bass hands down, and with the independent volume controls you basically have a great sounding P bass with the J pickup volume rolled back, but then a fabulous sounding Jazz bass sound as you blend the J back up again- and all the variations in between, it,s an incredibly versatile 1 bass to do it all in my honest opinion, if you can only have 1 bass forever this would be easily my first choice, i have played a cople of player 2s, and an ultra also-but easily chose this above them, and im 59 and have played bass since age 10, and played and owned more basses than i can easily remember. It has the famous Fender Greasebucket cap on the tone that allows the clarity to still shine through even when you roll the tone down, ( but still sounds as mellow as you want)The neck is smooth as a baby's butt and a pleasure to play on.if you are thinking of getting one of these and have not checked any youtube or written reviews i would strongly advise that you do, they are universally complimentary and can tell you far more than i can here.only thing to note is the small ding on the rear which i have shown in photo with a 10p next to it for scale. She will come in her original Fender bag,(with the shoulder straps in front pocket) with original black scratchplate and allan keyShe will be shipped in a proper bass box for protection with strings slackened to take tension off neck while travelling, i genuinely will be sad to see her go but an unexpected car bill forces sale.Of course if you are local you are welcome to come and fondle her for a test drive!Otherwise tracked shipping will be included in asking price,
