Harmony H303A 1960-1964
I nostri utenti valutano Reverb
Very nice example of a Harmony H303A guitar amp from the early 60's.
This is a great sounding little amp that is in super condition for it's age.
The Harmony H303A is a compact, low-wattage vintage tube combo amplifier manufactured in the 1950s and 1960s. Known for its simple, stripped-down design, it is a favorite among home players and studio musicians seeking authentic vintage grit and natural tube overdrive.
Key Specs & Features
- Power Output: Typically ranges between 3 to 8 watts depending on the exact year and revision.
- Tube Complement: Features a three-tube configuration consisting of a 35W4 rectifier, 50C5 power tube, and 12AU6 preamp tube.
- Speaker: Originally equipped with a 6-inch or 8-inch vintage Jensen speaker.
- Controls: Extremely minimal. Features a single volume knob that doubles as the on/off switch.
- Inputs: Includes 2 to 3 inputs that usually feed the same signal without variation.
Tone & Use Cases
- Overdrive & Grit: If you are looking for clean headroom, this is not the amp for you. However, it truly shines at pushing early, smooth harmonic breakup and distortion.
- Studio & Practice: Because it relies on low wattage, you can crank the volume for a dirty, overdriven tone at bedroom or recording levels.
- Pedal Platform: It takes boost and overdrive pedals very well to enhance its natural tube compression.
