AKG’s rugged stage philosophy — the AKG D170 E is built like a tool. Heavy, solid, and unmistakably vintage, it delivers a focused, punchy sound that works especially well in live and close-miking situations.

The AKG D170 E was part of AKG’s transition into more modern stage and broadcast-oriented dynamic microphones, following earlier designs like the D120 series. Exact production years are not strictly documented, but most units on the market trace back to this late ‘70s to mid ‘80s period.

OPTICAL CONDITION
Good Used condition. The microphone shows signs of age and use. slightly mesh disfiguration. The silver finish remains , with only minor wear and skratches visible.

SOUND CHARACTERISTICS
