Based on the legendary “Texas Tremodillo” by César Díaz, a pedal that is no longer available, but if found on the secondhand market… commands an exorbitant price, befitting its prestige.
César Díaz was a outspoken advocate for tube amplifiers and vintage guitars. He worked as an amplifier technician and equipment consultant for Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Keith Richards, among other guitarists.
Keyboard Magazine (December 1997) described the Tremodillo as a lush-sounding pedal whose tone rivals that of the best classic amplifiers. They said it was the best non-tube simulation they had ever heard.
It is used by the band Pearl Jam and has been featured on hits such as “What if God was one of us” by Joan Osbourn, “Crush” by R.E.M., “December” by Collective Soul, and the later albums by ZZ Top.
It features a speed control we've called "frequency" and a depth control we've called "amplitude."
You'll also find a dual-speed toggle switch called "speed" that doubles or halves the tremolo speed and can accelerate you from a slow, soulful pulse to a rapid, 60s-style burst—all at the touch of a button!
Plus, its LED in an oversized, jewel-like bezel, reminiscent of vintage Fender amplifiers, blinks, creating a hypnotic, rhythmic pulse.
