This is the famous white 12-string Burns guitar famously used by Brian May ,Queen on “Long Away.”
While the green finish versions are relatively common, the original white ones are extremely rare.
A key highlight is its Tri-Sonic pickups—the same type found on the Red Special.
Despite being nearly 60 years old, the guitar remains in excellent condition and has been beautifully preserved. All parts are original, and it comes with its original hard case.
Unlike most 12-string electrics, which typically have only two pickups, this Burns features three. The blend of the neck and bridge pickups delivers a creamy, shimmering tone, while the middle pickup stands out for how well it complements the natural resonance of the 12 strings. The single coils resemble Strat pickups in appearance but produce a tone with a strong, defined core. The bridge pickup maintains fullness without thinning out the sound, and each selector position offers a distinct nuance that can be put to great use.
The frets retain about 95% of their original height, and the neck shows no signs of warping or twisting. The truss rod has been confirmed to adjust smoothly in both directions. Electronics are clean and fully functional with no scratchy pots.
