Up for sale is an exceptionally rare, New-Old-Stock (NOS) factory-sealed Nortronics 9211 professional 2-track stereo playback magnetic tape head, bundled complete with its matching Nortronics QK-91 Quick-Kit mounting block assembly.
The 9211 is a high-impedance (~4,000 Ω @ 1kHz, 640 mH inductance) professional upgrade head. It features the premium "Duracore" all-metal hyperbolic face, offering up to 10 times the operational lifespan of standard permalloy alternatives while delivering unmatched high-frequency definition and wear resistance.
Because this is a high-impedance model, it is specifically engineered to perfectly match the input voltage requirements of classic tube or early solid-state preamplifier electronics. It is widely used as a premium 2-track stereo conversion or upgrade for high-end consumer and semi-pro decks like the Revox A77/B77, older Magnecord field recorders, Crown International decks, and specific Teac/Pioneer tube setups.
The included QK-91 mounting block adapter ensures a precise physical fit, allowing you to mount and align this premium head directly into vintage head nests without custom machining.

Both the 9211 tape head and the QK-91 mounting block are pristine, true New-Old-Stock (NOS) assets and remain factory sealed in their original packaging.
