The DigiTech Drop is a polyphonic pitch-shifting pedal that lets you lower your guitar’s tuning without adjusting the tuning pegs or switching instruments. It offers nine settings, from one to seven semitones down, followed by a full octave down, plus a final mode that blends the transposed signal with the original. It’s ideal for instantly switching from standard tuning to Drop D, Drop C, or even lower tunings, while retaining the ability to play chords thanks to its polyphonic processing. A selector also enables momentary operation, making it useful for quick pitch changes while playing. The pedal features true bypass, 24-bit digital conversion, and runs on a dedicated 9V power supply, usually included. Compact and rugged, it is particularly popular for metal, hard rock, and modern rock, allowing players to switch between different tunings on the fly.
