L'Ibanez NU Tubescreamer è il primo pedale compatto per chitarra che incorpora un Nutube direttamente nei suoi circuiti. Questo abbinamento del Tube Screamer Ibanez con la tecnologia Nutube di KORG, ha prodotto un overdrive con dinamiche eccezionali, sensibilità migliorata ed una compressione valvolare naturale. Il Nutube, simile a una normale valvola, ha una struttura a griglia anodica e funziona esattamente come una valvola a triodo, creando gli stessi suoni ricchi e caratteristici. Applicando la loro tecnologia di visualizzazione a fluorescenza a vuoto, Noritake Itron Corp, una società affiliata a Noritake Co. Ltd, ha ideato una struttura che consente notevoli risparmi in termini energia, miniaturizzazione e miglioramenti qualitativi rispetto ad una valvola a vuoto convenzionale. NU Tubescreamer consente un alimentazione fino a 18V. Un alimentazione a 18V ti offre più headroom con un volume maggiore.

Much like a standard vacuum tube, the Nutube features an anode-grid structure and functions exactly like a triode vacuum tube, producing the same rich, characteristic tones. By applying their vacuum fluorescent display technology, Noritake Itron Corp—a subsidiary of Noritake Co. Ltd—developed a structure that allows for significant energy savings, miniaturization, and qualitative improvements over conventional vacuum tubes. The NU Tubescreamer supports a power supply of up to 18V; using an 18V power source provides greater headroom and increased volume.

The sticker with the number 2 on it is removable; it was there because this particular pedal was part of a complex pedalboard that has since been dismantled.
