I am selling this 1998 Collings 000-2H, equipped with a K&K Trinity pickup system.

It is a fantastic guitar that I have owned for about twenty years; it sounds wonderful. I haven't played it as much lately, so it deserves a new owner.

A faithful boutique reinterpretation of the pre-war Martin 000-28 (12-fret) model, this Collings is itself already "vintage," being nearly 30 years old. It was built during Bill Collings' lifetime (he signed the internal label) at a time when the workshop produced only a few dozen guitars a year. The instrument is fully opened up, delivering a rich, complex, and powerful sound. It excels at both fingerpicking and strumming—whether on stage, in the studio, or just on the couch! The K&K Trinity Pro system amplifies it beautifully for both recording and live performance.

It has been regularly maintained by my luthier, who recently replaced the nut and polished the frets. It is in excellent condition, aside from a few minor dings and signs of use (see the last 3 photos). The frets show no wear, and the setup is perfect.

It comes with a Collings hard case and the small external K&K preamp (belt-mountable), which allows you to blend the levels of the gooseneck mic (mounted inside the soundhole) and the three transducers (glued under the soundboard). These two signals can be output in either mono or stereo (via TRS cable).
