With just a volume knob and a 6-way breakup selector, the Danelectro Breakdown overdrive pedal is a no-frills solution for epic tone. The first three positions are intended for "always on" operation, adding increasing amounts of subtle grit and mild compression. Positions four through six kick the gain up a few notches and push the front end of your amp into overdrive. Guitarists who have used it love the feel of The Breakdown, which remains expressively responsive no matter how you set the volume and breakup knobs.
