Asturias Custom/S 2007 - Exceptional

I am selling a beautiful Asturias Custom/S classical guitar, handmade in Japan in 2007, serial number 36917.

The Custom/S was one of the higher-end models in Asturias’ regular production and features an all-solid-wood construction.

The guitar has a beautiful, highly figured Indian Rosewood back, with particularly attractive grain and colour. The spruce top is also very nicely grained and has developed a beautiful natural golden colour over the years.

Sound

The Custom/S combines the clarity and dynamic response of a German Spruce top with the warmth, depth and sustain of solid Indian Rosewood.

It has a clear, articulate and powerful sound, with excellent projection and a good balance between bass, midrange and treble. The spruce top also gives the guitar plenty of dynamic headroom and responds very well to a strong right-hand technique.

A beautiful example of high-quality Japanese classical guitar making, and a particularly interesting instrument for players looking for an all-solid, traditionally built instrument without the price of a comparable European or Spanish handmade guitar.

The guitar comes with its hard-shell case.
