Intellectual Property Policy

Intellectual Property Policy

Reverb takes intellectual property infringement very seriously. We comply with intellectual property laws and industry best practices in order to maintain the integrity of our marketplace.

This policy is part of our Terms of Use. By using any of Reverb’s services, you’re agreeing to this policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Reports of Infringement

Reverb strives to respond quickly when we receive a report of intellectual property infringement that complies with our policies by removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material.

To report alleged infringement, please flag the listing for our team to review. You can learn more about flagging a listing in our Help Center here. When Reverb removes or disables access in response to a report of infringement, Reverb makes a reasonable attempt to contact the affected user, provide information about the report and removal. Reverb may also provide a copy of the infringement report, including the name and email address of the reporting party, to the affected user.

If the infringement is specific to a copyright, you may also contact Reverb’s Digital Millennium Copyright Act agent who can be located here. More information about the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is available here.

Reverb may request additional information before processing a report of infringement, such as identity verification of the reporting party or documentation regarding the claimed right. Reverb may reject reports of infringement that contain information we believe is false, fraudulent, incomplete, or otherwise submitted in bad faith. Reverb also reserves the right to take action against abusers of this policy.

2. Repeat Infringement

Reverb terminates accounts privileges of users who are subject to repeat or multiple notices of intellectual property infringement in appropriate circumstances and at Reverb’s discretion. If we believe a user has attempted to open a new shop after termination of the initial account, we reserve the right to refuse all services to that user. These actions apply to any accounts we believe are associated with or operated by the affected us.
