2021 Fender Traditional 60s Jazzmaster electric guitar in great condition and perfect working order. This FSR (Factory Special Run) model features a Walnut gloss finish over an alder body, accented by a deep red tortoise pickguard, clearly evoking Elvis Costello's Jazzmaster. This Fender is in mint condition, designed only for sale in the Japanese domestic market and rarely seen outside its country of origin.

A reinvention of Fender Japan's Jazzmaster platform, the new Traditional 60s model features Fender USA V-Mod black bobbin pickups, as well as USA-made CTS pots, Switchcraft switches, and USA Fender plastic parts. A textbook example of everything we love about the Jazzmaster, the instrument has plenty of twang and sparkle on tap, with a range of powerful and defined tones from the two single coil pickups, and warm, wooly sounds when switched to the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn. Lightweight for a Jazzmaster at 7lbs 13oz, the guitar balances well on a strap.

The maple neck has a fuller profile carve than earlier Fender Japan Jazzmasters, with generous shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, offering a modestly chunky C shape at the nut and just a hair more heft in the higher registers, measuring .865" deep at the 1st fret and .910" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard is a dark, tight-grained cut, with flawless slender fretwire and a modern-spec 9 1/2" fretboard radius. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the carved bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width. The headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Jazzmaster logo, with Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

All of the electronics function brilliantly, the chrome hardware shines like new, and the plastic parts are clean as can be. The vibrato unit works smoothly and engages easily for quick warbles and surfy dives, working in concert with the vintage-style bridge. The gloss Walnut finish is in fantastic condition, with no wear on the instrument to report.

Collection from Sunderland preferred, but can also post at buyer’s expense. Could also meet midway somewhere if wanting to collect - feel free to suggest.
