For sale is an original 70-72 Gibson ES-335TD. Serial number doesn't seem to get any more accurate of a year. This guitar is in great shape, save for one thing - right where the neck connects to the body, there is a small gap. This will be visible in pictures. This would likely need to be looked at by someone who can do a neck reset. Other than that, it is in great shape, with only a bit of wear. There are a few finish chips showing on the top of the headstock (as pictured) and a couple small scuffs that are a bit harder to see, as well as some white marks that may have been something that ran across it Other than this, there may be a few very small marks I may have missed, but I tried to be very thorough in the pictures. The frets are fairly low unfortunately, near 35-45% around the nut and maybe as good as 75% closer to the bridge (it varies around the board). This could use a refret. There is a tiny amount of pot crackling on two of the pots, but nothing loud or obnoxious. The pickups appear to be early gibson T-tops (flathead screws on the reverse vs phillips). The finish on it is wonderful, make sure to have a close look throughout the pictures to see, but in person it will certainly look nicer. The neck is fairly straight and it plays well, although it may need an adjustment, especially after a neck reset. Everything on this is original as far as I can tell. This was sold to use by a friend whose father owned it, and it sat in a closet for 20-30 years in the case. The hard case fits it well, but is not original.
