The JS2400 was the first 24-fret guitar in Joe Satriani’s signature line, and it solved a problem he’d lived with for two decades. He wanted the extra frets but refused to move the neck pickup toward the bridge for tonal reasons. Ibanez’s answer was the DiMarzio Pro Track, a single-coil-sized humbucker mounted tight against the fingerboard, paired with an extended cutaway for upper-register access.
Built in Japan to Prestige spec. Basswood body, one-piece maple JS Prestige neck, rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays, 24 6105 frets with Prestige fret-edge treatment, 25.5” scale. Edge double-locking tremolo with chrome hardware. DiMarzio Pro Track at the neck, DiMarzio Mo’ Joe at the bridge.
The wiring does more than the two knobs suggest: master volume with a push/pull high-pass filter, master tone with a push/pull coil split, three-way toggle.
Produced 2010–2014 in white only before being replaced by the alder-bodied JS2410 and JS2450.
Matching hard case.
