1981 Guild D-25. A Westerly, Rhode Island-era built Guild featuring mahogany neck, back and sides, mahogany brown stained Sitka spruce top, and rosewood fretboard and bridge.

The Guild D-25M needs no introduction; it's the consummate strummer, and has provided musical inspiration to countless songwriters since its introduction in the late 1960's. The guitar was originally designed with a mahogany top but, by the time this example was built, spruce had become standard. Guild continued to dark-tint the finish on this model's top to resemble the mahogany back and sides, and the model continued to be called the D-25M, even though the top wood had been changed.

Dreadnought body with 25.5” scale, arched mahogany back and matching sides. Black body bindings with white purflings, tortoise celluloid pickguard, gloss lacquer finish. Mahogany neck with round carve, 1-11/16” nut and rosewood fingerboard. Guitar has been played (not abused) over the years and has lots of minor dings and scratches throughout. Honest play wear on the back of the neck. One top crack that has been repaired years ago and is stable. Guitar has been cleaned, fingerboard condition and setup with 12 gauge phosphor bronze strings. Action on the guitar is currently setup for low, fast playing. The truss rod works properly and there is a lot of room for adjustment to suite a variety of playing styles. Comes with a basic gig bag; accessory pocket zipper does not function.
