ProCo You Dirty RAT,  This edition of the Rat family comes with with Germanium clipping diodes. Distortion overdrive fuzz pedal built in the USA by renowned pedal builders, Proco.

I have modified this Pedal it with my 'Cagney Mod' (named after Jimmy Cagney, thus the black and white knobs): First I installed a genuine Motorola LM308 OpAmp on an 8 dip caddy, meaning it can be swapped out for other OpAmps without the need for Soldering. I then replaced several Capacitors with higher grade caps, changing some of their values to enhance the Rat's legendary sound. I also fitted the "Ruetz" mod inside this pedal with an internal trim pots. Set at default of 47ohms, turning the trim anti-clockwise will decrease the resistance making the pedal more bass focused.

I increased the voltage of the components to allow the pedal to be powered from 9v-18v DC centre negative, all of this adding Headroom, Better Bass and Mids to achieve a whole new level of Distortion to Fuzz effects.

When you step on this pedal, it is LOUD, an absolute blistering fuzz distortion sound through germanium diodes. A really inspiring and original sound. Buffered input output stages and silent FET switch. 'True Bypass'. This pedal has been serviced to clean the potentiometers It has the original battery cover. In very good condition. Solid and durable metal housing. Please note its original box has been lost.
