The Ibanez AM93QAJBB Artcore Expressionist Semi-Hollow in Jet Blue Burst blends classic semi-hollow warmth with a sleek, modern feel that invites you to play longer and dig deeper. Its compact AM body, crafted from quilted ash top, back, and sides, delivers a pleasant brightness with rich, lingering sustain: Open and airy, yet more focused than a full-size semi-hollow. The set-in Nyatoh and maple neck adds a strong mid-low presence, while the bound Macassar ebony fretboard feels fast and articulate, offering tight lows, clear mids, and a quick, responsive attack that suits everything from nuanced chord voicings to expressive lead work.
Plugged in, the Super 58 pickups provide a balanced, vintage-leaning voice with moderate output, letting warmth, clarity, and dynamics come through naturally. The Gibraltar Performer bridge enhances sustain and tuning stability while keeping the playing feel smooth and comfortable, and the Quik Change III tailpiece makes restringing quick and painless. Altogether, it’s a refined, versatile semi-hollow that moves easily between jazz, soul, indie, and classic rock without ever feeling locked into one lane. The Ibanez AM93QAJBB Artcore Expressionist Semi-Hollow is available at Haggerty’s Music.
