Moog Moogerfooger MF-107 FreqBox Model Filter Effect (2010s), made in Ashville, NC, serial # 4532, black enamel & natural wood finish.
The now discontinued Moog Moogerfooger series are excellent and coveted stage-to-studio pedals; their large footprint and wood-paneled sizes evoke the industrial nature and high fidelity of their iconic synthesizers and were the choice of players like Steeley Dan's Walter Becker.
The MF-107 FreqBox introduced in 2007 is an envelope pedal that is something like a synthesizer in its own right; the effect is centered around a single VCO with a variety of waveshapes and an additional envelope to further modulate the input signal. It is capable of yielding more traditional, tame filter sounds and all manner of angular, freaky oscillations. Like all of Moog's pedals, it is built to accommodate a full audio spectrum from a simple funky guitar filter to bass envelope or outboard synth gear.
The controls are pretty minimal and simple up top, but a major utility of the FreqBox is the bevy of different output and expression input jacks up top; there is the potential to run multiple expressions in and multiple facets of the effect (the envelope, the oscillator) out in addition to a standard in and out.
Length is 9 in. (22.9 cm.), 5 7/8 in. (14.9 cm.) width, and 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) in depth at deepest point.
This MF-107 is in excellent condition with only minimal show of wear and full functionality; the pedal is internally and externally completely original. It resides in its original box with instruction booklet and proper Moog power supply tucked inside. Excellent Condition.
