Well, this is the cream of the crop. A hand wired Soldano Astroverb 16 with a 1971 Thames Ditton Celestion Greenback.
The 1971 Thames Ditton Greenbacks are considered by many to be the holy grail of guitar speakers and go for silly money.
These, although officially a 16w RMS amp, because of the EL-84 power tubes, (Sovteks in this one) are more like 20watt. It has a tube driven spring reverb which is incredible, and amazing variation in tones thanks to the brilliant sweep on these. They have a pre-amp gain so you can get as dirty as you like at bedroom level.
There are some excellent review and demonstration videos on YouTube which show the range of sounds but the greenback adds a creaminess that is just gorgeous! The quality birch ply used on the entire build gives a solid even resonance.
It never been on a gig, studio only, so virtually in mint condition.
This is a one-off. If you want a unique professional sound - this is your baby.
The only drawback here is delivery will be a challenge because it's heavy, but it happens every day so why not?
