The Ibanez RG Standard is built for players who want speed, precision, and unapologetic rock-and-metal attitude. As part of the legendary RG family, this guitar carries the sleek, aggressive styling and lightning-fast feel that have made the series a favorite among shredders for decades. From its sharp contours to its comfortable body design, the RG Standard feels purpose-built for high-energy playing, inviting you to push your technique further whether you’re practicing at home, recording in the studio, or commanding the stage.

The voice of the RG Standard is every bit as versatile as its looks suggest. Its HSH pickup configuration delivers a wide range of tones that can move effortlessly from tight, aggressive rhythm sounds to fluid lead tones and surprisingly articulate clean textures. High-gain riffs remain punchy and defined, fast runs stay clear and focused, and solos cut through with singing sustain and harmonic richness. The five-way switching adds even more tonal flexibility, making this a guitar that’s equally comfortable handling modern metal, hard rock, progressive styles, and beyond.

One of the biggest strengths of the RG Standard is how effortlessly it plays. The renowned Wizard III neck feels incredibly fast and comfortable, encouraging fluid movement across the entire fingerboard while maintaining a solid, confident feel in the hands. Combined with the responsive Edge-Zero II tremolo system, players can dive, flutter, and bend with confidence while maintaining impressive tuning stability. For guitarists seeking a reliable performance machine that blends speed, versatility, and classic Ibanez attitude, the RG Standard continues to prove why the RG remains one of the most respected names in high-performance electric guitars.
