2023 Epiphone 150th ANNIVERSARY Zephyr Deluxe Regent.

To my knowledge I believe this is a new guitar that was never owned although I won't swear to it. When I received it it still had the plastic on the pickguard and the styrofoam pad under the bridge. It had some finish-crazing near the bottom edge of the back which I believe caused it to be designated B-Stock. I will explain that later in the listing.

These Zephyrs have a really great vintage look and the woodwork and appointments sport very nice build quality BUT, the pickups as they come from the factory were not at all well thought out and could be inherently problematic and very mismatched relative to their output due to problematic mounting. I have installed a new set of Epiphone mini Probuckers which is a huge improvement over those stock factory pickups.

These new pickups are a breeze to balance, have adjustable pole pieces for fine tuning and inherently sound a lot better than the originals do/did. The stock pickguard has been reworked to fit and I think the overall effect is a great looking guitar that'll be easy to live with and which is a marked improvement over the stock offering.

The guitar frets have been leveled and the guitar has been set up. It sounds and plays great!

I have replaced the uncomfortable white plastic octagonal stock knobs with vintage style bakelite? (see photo) and replaced the truss rod cover to be a little more subtle look.....

The crazing has been mitigated and the finish has been reconsolidated. It is now almost imperceptible except for faint lines in strong light and then only when viewed at a certain angle. The rest of the time it is wholly invisible to the naked eye. The last 2 photos show the angle w/ craze lines in strong full sun with another view at an angle just a couple of degrees off where it is completely gone/invisible.

All this said, I am probably fussing over the crazing more than I should but only want to be clear.
