DESCRIPTION
Engineered for speed, precision, and aggressive tone, the Ibanez RG470DXW is a metal-ready powerhouse crafted for players who demand performance without compromise. With over 30 years of metal lineage behind it, the RG series remains a staple for shredders, riffers, and genre-defying guitarists who thrive on power and playability.
At the heart of the RG470DXW is the sleek Wizard III Maple neck, offering the fast, flat profile Ibanez is famous for—perfect for rapid-fire solos and complex chord shapes. Combined with a Jatoba fretboard and 24 jumbo frets, the neck provides a comfortable, responsive feel and extended two-octave range for soaring leads and dynamic phrasing.
The Meranti body brings a tonal balance with a scooped midrange and sweet highs, delivering a perfect foundation for high-gain tones. A versatile Quantum H-S-H pickup configuration gives you access to tight, articulate low end, a pronounced midrange, and sharp highs—ideal for everything from thick rhythm chunks to singing lead tones.
Equipped with the Edge-Zero II locking tremolo system, the RG470DXW offers stable tuning even with aggressive whammy use. The low-profile design ensures playing comfort, while the stud lock mechanism enhances tuning reliability, whether you're dive-bombing or fluttering.
Whether you're carving through solos or hammering out punishing riffs, the RG470DXW delivers the speed, tone, and control serious players need.
