R2R Electric GE Distorter Deluxe 2025

R2R Ge Distorter Deluxe #15—an exceptionally well-built, low-production germanium distortion/fuzz pedal loaded with premium vintage components.

At the heart of the circuit is a pair of Mullard OC41 germanium transistors. These are the components that give the pedal its distinctive character: warm, harmonically rich distortion with the organic response and slight unpredictability that make a great germanium pedal feel alive beneath your fingers. It can deliver thick, saturated drive and vintage fuzz textures while remaining unusually expressive and responsive to picking dynamics and adjustments of the guitar’s volume control.

The interior construction is a work of art, using an impressive selection of carefully chosen components:

• Two Mullard OC41 germanium transistors
• CTS 100K, 1K and 25K potentiometers
• Philips capacitor
• Sprague capacitors, including a Vitamin Q
• Allen-Bradley resistors
• Traditional hand-built circuit-board construction
• Internal battery connection
• Individually numbered Ge Distorter Deluxe #15
• Hand-built in Los Angeles, California

This is not a generic, mass-produced distortion pedal. The vintage Mullard germanium transistors, Sprague and Philips capacitors, Allen-Bradley resistors and old-school construction give it the character of a carefully built piece of vintage-inspired equipment.

The Ge Distorter Deluxe sits in the particularly musical territory between overdrive, distortion and germanium fuzz. It has the thickness and harmonic complexity of fuzz, but with enough definition and control to serve as a distinctive primary drive sound. It is especially compelling for players who want something warmer, more dimensional and more responsive than a conventional modern distortion pedal.

A beautiful and uncommon boutique pedal with outstanding components, striking internal craftsmanship and genuine old-school germanium character. The photographs of the interior show exactly how seriously this pedal was constructed.
