This lovely guitar has been modded with DiMarzio DP188 in the middle position. Upgraded electronics with stock single coils in neck and bridge. A push/pull knob goes from humbucker to single coil in the middle position, accessing the classic 2 & 4 sounds. I was trying to get the Suhr humbucker sound in a position I never use and quite honestly it has turned out a treat. The DiMarzio is not a PAF but it is a hefty humbucker and with the right pedal combination you can get that “Knopfler“ live sound. This Silver Star needs a set up but is in very good player condition. Reason for sale; I‘m just not playing anymore. Comes with the original gig bag and whammy bar. I do not have the original middle pickup, you can have the strap however!
