Mesa/Boogie Single Rectifier Series 2 Solo Head – Custom Cream Bronco / Diamond Plate – Includes Step-Down Transformer

For sale is a Mesa/Boogie Single Rectifier Series 2 Solo Head (50 watts) in a rare custom version featuring Cream Bronco Tolex, Diamond Plate front, and brown leather corners.

The amplifier is a U.S. model (117 V) and is being sold together with the matching step-down transformer (230 V → 117 V). The amp has been operated exclusively with this transformer.

Both visually and technically, the amplifier is in very good condition (small ding Tolex left side front, see pictures). All functions work flawlessly.

Compared to the Dual Rectifier, it responds more quickly, has tighter bass, and cuts through exceptionally well in a band setting. From crystal-clear cleans to classic rock and modern high-gain tones, this amp covers practically everything.

Note on History

The previous owner mentioned that the amplifier may have been used in connection with a guitarist associated with Judas Priest. I did some research on this myself and found that, chronologically, this could generally align with Richie Faulkner’s time with Lauren Harris and their performances in Switzerland. However, there is no verifiable evidence for this, which is why I expressly do not claim this story to be fact, but am merely passing it on transparently.

The sale is therefore based solely on the verifiable condition and the rare custom design of the amplifier.
