Grace Design Model 801R 2000's

Grace 801R 8-channel Preamp. Sounds absolutely amazing. Clean, 3D, rich, natural, all the things Grace is known for. I have used this preamp over the years on several recordings and it always sounds great. It excels with piano, orchestral instruments (ensembles and solo) and percussion. Anything you want an authentic, natural, high fidelity sound with a sweet top end, this will do it. I have also run synths through it, and it brings out a fullness and depth that isn't otherwise there, especially on digital and soft synths. Only selling because I have access to another 8-channel Grace through my work.

The front panel gives east access to everything needed to operate all 8 channels, despite the ability to use a remote control (not included). It is possible to connect to any programmable MIDI controller via MIDI cable and be operated that way. Just get the CC numbers off of the manual online and set it up. Isn't hard to do, although I really only ever used the front controls. Easy.

Two small known issues beyond some rack rash on the top: 1) there is residue on the front plate from a sticker put on by the last owner (classical engineer out of Colorado)--I cannot get it to come off, even with GooGone (see pic); and 2) the screw lock for one end of the power supply is not there. Cable goes in and stays in no problem without it, was never an issue for me, even on remote recordings.
