Electro-Voice RE16 Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone 1960 - 2019 - Gray
Vintage Electro-Voice RE16 Variable-D Dynamic Microphone – Tested & Working
Very nice vintage Electro-Voice RE16 in very good working condition and good cosmetic condition.
The RE16 is one of Electro-Voice’s classic Variable-D dynamic microphones and is essentially an RE15 with an improved internal blast filter designed to reduce pops and wind noise. It has a supercardioid pickup pattern, excellent off-axis rejection, reduced proximity effect, and a switchable bass roll-off.
These are excellent, underrated recording microphones with a distinctive vintage EV character. Great on vocals, guitar amps, drums, percussion, horns, and plenty of other sources where you want a focused dynamic sound without an exaggerated proximity-effect buildup.
This example has been tested and is working properly. The microphone is in good cosmetic condition for its age, with normal signs of use and wear consistent with a vintage microphone. Please see photos for the exact cosmetic condition.
A great vintage American-made Electro-Voice microphone that is equally at home in a working studio or a vintage mic collection.
