The McCarty SC594 pays homage to the Les Paul design while imparting many modern improvements and PRS' dedication to high quality instruments. The Wood Library program extends that by providing exotic wood combinations for unique instrument configurations. This SC594 is no exception. It starts with a semi-hollow body, adding an Indian Rosewood neck, and then a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard! The fingerboard is smooth, dark, and consistent. The rosewood neck is smooth and plays like butter. The inlays are eye catching. Then there is the eye catching charcoal cherry burst finish on the super tight flame maple top. All of the beauty does not matter if it does not play well. This guitar has a wide range of tones, from classic light overdrive sounds all the way to high gain leads. The 58/15LT pickups are very versatile. It is currently setup with 11-52's in D Standard. The original Wood Library case and all documentation are included (as shown in the photos).

Modifications:

Condition: The guitar is in fantastic condition with minimal surface defects and play wear. I had to get very picky and look at light reflections to find the items below.
- Modest fretwear
- Minor swirls on back (shown in light reflection) with a couple small indentations. Nothing breaks the finish.
- Small tactile indentation on back (shown in photo, 0.75 inch long)
- Modest play swirls on top, with nothing noticeable to the touch (most significant shown in photos)
- Smoked finish tarnished off both sides (0.5 inch) of the bridge pick-up (shown in photo)
