Selling a rare, original 1960 Gibson Es125TCD. I believe this is a “first rack” for this model as It was introduced in 1960 and this is only the second I’ve seen with 59 spec dark sunburst, bonnet knobs, catalin switch tip, and fatter neck profile. Better yet, the guitar has remained in very good original condtion. There is some minor play wear but overall a conservative 8.5/10 condition wise. There is one spot behind the nut where a strap was tied on while it sat in the case for years. Many of these cutaway 125 thinlines have neck heel issues -seperation and high action can be very common. This one exhibits none of those issues and the neck remains tight and securely attached to the neck, at the proper neck angle. It is both a fantastic player and incredible sounding instrument with its original dual p90’s and 59 harness with Sprague ”Bumblebee“ capacitors. If you want an es125tcd with these specs from the factory, I can’t imagine you’ll get many more shots at one. Includes the original alligator soft case which is in tact and usable.
