Gibson L-00 Century 12-Fret - Vintage Amber

The Gibson L-00 has been a cornerstone of the small-body acoustic world since the early 1930s, famously celebrated in Gibson’s 1934 catalog for its "perfect balance." This new Century Collection edition, marking 100 years of Gibson flat-tops, takes that legendary parlor feel and refines it with a 12-fret neck-to-body joint. By shifting the bridge plate into a more central, resonant "sweet spot" on the soundboard, this guitar delivers a warm, articulate, and lively tonality that responds beautifully to a nuanced touch. Whether you are fingerpicking in your living room or recording in the studio, the L-00 Century offers a punchy, fundamental-strong voice that has made the L-Series a favorite for generations of blues and folk players.

Constructed with a classic pairing of a Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, this guitar provides a crisp, clear high end balanced by the woody warmth mahogany is known for. The mahogany neck features a comfortable Slim Taper profile and is secured with a traditional compound dovetail joint using hot hide glue—a meticulous build technique used throughout Gibson’s premium acoustic range. Visually, the guitar is a vintage dream, finished in a hand-applied satin nitrocellulose lacquer and adorned with period-correct touches like the early-1900s script logo, Golden Age strap tuners, and a rosewood sloped-rectangle bridge.
