Offered here is an original 1961 Silvertone U-1, manufactured by Danelectro during the golden era of Nathan Daniel's legendary designs.

This is more than just a vintage Silvertone—it was part of the modern Danelectro company's sourcing/reference collection, where it was retained as an original example to document construction details, dimensions, hardware, finishes, and materials used in the development of later Danelectro reissue models. Provenance like this is rarely found on vintage Danelectro instruments.

The guitar is in overall very good vintage condition with honest cosmetic wear consistent with its age. It retains the unmistakable vintage Danelectro tone from its original lipstick pickup, while the beautiful Brazilian rosewood fretboard features outstanding grain and is one of the nicest examples you'll find.
