The Definition of "Dead Stock": A 2007 Fender Japan Jaguar Special HH this was purchased directly from fender as a brand new guitar but a first run of a model that they weren’t sure they were going to put out it’s one of one. In fact, the last three numbers of the serial number are mailed out by fender for that reason in conjunction with the fact that it is stamped used on the top of the back of the head stock although it was a brand new guitar this is a unicorn all day and every day it’s probably worth a lot more than we are listing it for, but I don’t know how to put a price on it. It’s one of the coolest guitars I’ve ever seen and I’ve owned over 100.
This is not a "mint condition" used guitar. This is a New Old Stock (NOS), true time-capsule instrument that has been stored in a climate-controlled environment since the day it was purchased in 2007-2008. It has never been plugged in, never been played, and has never seen the light of day outside of a private home.
The Guitar:
Model: Fender Japan J-Craft Jaguar Special HH (Black & Chrome Edition).
Origin: Crafted in Japan (T-Serial), Dyna Gakki Plant.
Condition: 10/10. The high-gloss black finish is factory-perfect with zero polish swirls, pick scratches, or oxidation on the chrome.
Features: Dual Dragster Humbuckers, matching black headstock, chrome hardware, and the sought-after "tuxedo" aesthetic.
The Case:
Included is the specialized Fender Jaguar hardshell case. The case itself is in "dead stock" condition. Most importantly, the red factory safety spacer is still intact on the combination lock. The lock has never been set, and the case has never been used for transport.
Collector’s Note:
Finding a Japanese-made Fender from this era is getting harder; finding one that is unplayed with the factory case-seals intact is nearly impossible. This is a "Museum Grade" investment piece for a serious Fender collector.
