The vintage Bandmaster piggyback came to us in good condition considering it's age and the use/alterations that have been done over the years. The tone circuit of the amp is all stock and was just completely serviced and cleaned. The power section has been re-capped and the amp has new JJ 6L6 power tubes. The noise floor with this particular amp is excellent when powered up and in use. Very quiet and touch sensitive. The tremolo circuit is intact and there is a dummy plug inserted to the RCA jack to engage the tremolo on channel 2. The original speakers in the 2x12 cab have been replaced with (1) Celestion Creamback and (1) Celestion Greenback. There was a hole drilled in the top of the cab at some point to add an additional jack but that is now removed. (see photos) The grillcloth on both the head and cab appears to be re-done and slightly darker. This rig is very functional and stable. The pair sounds excellent together and the speaker choice is a great compliment to the amp.
