Paul Reed Smith SE Kingfisher Faded Blue Wrap Around Burst

Paul Reed Smith SE Kingfisher Faded Blue Wrap Around Burst
Serial Number: D70208
Weight: 10.5 lbs.

The PRS SE Kingfisher in Faded Blue Wrap Around Burst brings a genuinely modern signature voice to PRS's bass lineup, built around dual Kingfisher 4B "H" humbucking pickups that pair sparkling top end and high-midrange growl with a huge, old-school "clacky" tone many modern basses lack. Designed in PRS's Maryland shop, the offset swamp ash body uses neck-through construction for excellent sustain and evenly balanced tone across the neck, dressed with a flame maple top veneer under a gloss Faded Blue Wrap Around Burst finish. At 10.5 lbs., it's a substantial, resonant instrument.

The neck-through neck is built from 5-ply maple with walnut strips in PRS's dedicated Kingfisher profile (51/64" at the 1st fret, 61/64" at the 12th), topped with a rosewood fretboard, PRS's signature bird inlays, and a 10" radius across 24 frets and the full 34" scale length. A 1 19/32" PRS nut leads to Hipshot HB6 tuners in chrome, while a Hipshot TransTone bridge delivers precise intonation and reliable string-to-string balance.

Electronics are built around the Kingfisher's namesake 4B "H" humbuckers, deep and thick-voiced with real top-end clarity and punch, wired to dual volume controls per pickup plus a master tone for straightforward blending and tone shaping. Whether you're a bassist who wants a distinctive, old-school "clacky" tone with modern output and clarity, a player drawn to the offset Kingfisher body shape and neck-through sustain, or someone who needs a bass with genuine midrange growl to cut through a dense mix, this SE Kingfisher delivers real character. This Paul Reed Smith SE Kingfisher Faded Blue Wrap Around Burst (Serial #D70208) includes a PRS SE gigbag. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized PRS dealer.
